Traditional Casement Windows

Casement windows became more popular than traditional sliding sash windows as they were cheaper to manufacture, required less maintenance and gave a more modern look to properties.

This window style has hinged sashes that swing out like a door, the window sections are formed from solid timber and are mortice and tenon jointed. The opening sashes are hung on traditional butt hinges and are fitted with casement fasteners and casement stays. There is a large choice of ironmongery available in many different finishes for this type of window.
