St Kentigern Hospice & Palliative Care Centre, Denbighshire.

Case Study

The Hospice, offers both a Day Therapy Unit and In-Patient Care, in response to the rising demand for palliative care within the local community. Refurbishment of the Hospice involved Parry Joinery manufacturing a display shelving unit alongside a bespoke reception desk and a nurse work station counter.

The display shelving unit, as seen in the images, was manufactured using MDF with a Tulipwood trim. Designed with 12 toughened glass doors with mirrored backing panels and 4 lower cupboards made with MDF doors. The cabinet was painted on site ‘grey with a satin finish’.

The nurse’s station counter was manufactured with MDF for the main desk and finished with a solid oak timber edging. Pebble coloured linoleum was used for the main surface and edged with a solid white Oak edging. Manufactured with a MDF core and solid oak timber edging, the timber box underneath made with a softwood frame with oak cladding on all the seen faces.

All the timber used for this project was FSC Certified.
