QMARK FIRE DOOR & FRAME CERTIFICATION

We have recently become certified for the second year running to manufacture Q-Mark certified fire doors and frames. Fire door certification provides independent reassurances to specifiers and purchasers that the Q-Mark products are manufactured to a consistent quality. There is a legal requirement for manufacturers of fire doors to provide proof of the ability of their products to resist the passage of fire, this is shown through the provision of test evidence. Whilst this demonstrates that the door meets the legally acceptable minimum standards, the BM Trada Q-Mark fire door manufacturer scheme provides additional reassurance that our products are fit for purpose through on-going compliance to the original product specification. Q-Mark Certification scheme aims to achieve:-
  • Raise the on-going standard of fire door manufacture
  • Ensure on going compliance with the original product specification
  • Maximise the product’s service life
  • Provide peace of mind that the manufacturer is consistently producing a quality product through independent verification by a third part certification body
Parry Joinery can supply Q-Mark products as follows:-
  • Fire Doors Only - FD30/FD60
  • Door Frames & Fire Doors – FD30/FD60
Please note we cannot supply QMark plugged door frames only.  This is because our certification does not cover a third party supplying a door into our QMark plugged door frame when we have not assessed whether the product is fit for purpose through compliance to the original product specification. Interior Fire Doors are often compulsory in new build properties, both commercial and private where there are three floors and above, in shared occupancy buildings and between a house and a garage. To comply with building regulations they require the appropriate fire door certification. This will ensure that the doors are hung in an appropriate frame with the correct smoke seals, door hinges and ironmongery fitted.   There are also certain standard requirements for glazing fire doors. All of the pre-glazed fire doors we supply meet the building regulations.  We supply:-
  • FD30
  • FD60
We generally use Halspan door cores but other core materials such as Flamebreak and Blankfort are available.  All doors can be provided veneered with a choice of timbers such as oak, ash, beech, cherry, walnut and sapele. Full Fire Certification can be provided when appropriate.
